Features of “The Lake”

Welcome to The Lake, Quilpie….our home

Discover The Lake Quilpie, a beautiful natural expanse of water set amongst shady gum trees.  Seasonally, an impressive display of water lilies eloquently frames the banks in the shallow water.  Native birds flock to this lush oasis, taking pride-of-place on a 2,500 acre sheep and cattle property that was originally surveyed in the late 1800s.

Owners Dan and Louise Hoch have owned the property for the last eight years running sheep, beef cattle and Kalahari red goats.

The property is located 4km east of Quilpie on the Diamantina Developmental Road with easy access* for 2 Wheel Drive Vehicles, Buses, Motorhomes, Caravans etc. (*weather permitting)

Throw in a line, bring your own kayak or perhaps toss in a yabby net. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets by the lake, take a stroll or ride your own pushbike around the lake.
